We all know man’s primary purpose is to glorify God and enjoy him forever, but what is man’s greatest need? If you said to have our sins forgiven, you are correct. All men have sinned and fall short of God’s glory (Romans 3:23). As sinners, we are all under the wrath of God (Eph 2:3). Until we come to grips with the fact that we are under God’s wrath, we cannot fully appreciate the grace, mercy, love, and forgiveness of God through Jesus Christ. Understanding that, FBC Alabaster has a ministry for those struggling with addictions and destructive behaviors. The ministry is called Intensive Transformation Ministry. Its primary purpose is “to help people in [the] community who may be struggling with addictions or other destructive habits by showing them the love of Christ. ITM is a ministry “dedicated to the study of [God’s Word]. Their aim is to “nurture, love, and encourage one another in an effort to show how God can help you or your loved ones break the bondage of addictive habits.” Classes start January 7, 2013 meeting three nights a week from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The class is free of charge to all who attend. If you have a church member, friend, or loved one that might benefit from this class please contact FBC Alabaster at (205) 663-3531 or visit www.fbcalabaster.org.
